Karen Schutz, founder of Above All Support Coordination and Home Care brings over 28 years of dedicated experience to the healthcare and community sector. Her career began in aged care as a carer, where she built a strong foundation in compassionate, hands-on support before progressing to Enrolled Nurse and then Registered Nurse. Karen has now spent 19 years working as a Registered Nurse across a wide range of clinical and leadership roles, gaining extensive experience in both acute and rehabilitation settings, with a particular specialisation in neurological and rehabilitation nursing. Throughout her nursing career, Karen has held diverse and senior positions, including Infection Control Coordinator, where she played a key role in maintaining safe clinical environments, and Clinical Nurse Educator across university, hospital, and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) settings, supporting and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals.
In 2020, she stepped into a critical leadership role as Nurse Manager of the COVID ward at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, providing clinical leadership during an unprecedented time. More recently, Karen has worked as a community clinical nurse, further strengthening her understanding of person-centred care beyond the hospital setting. For the past 18 months, Karen has served as Director of Above All Support Coordination, where she combines her extensive clinical knowledge with lived experience.
As a mother of two children and a grandmother to a grandchild with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Karen is deeply passionate about advocating for vulnerable and at-risk individuals within the community. Her approach is driven by empathy, leadership, and a strong commitment to making a meaningful difference by blending live experience with clinical expertise.

I’m Rhiannon, the co-founder of Above All Support Coordination and Home Care.
My passion for supporting others is grounded in both my professional experience and lived understanding, I started with my Certificate III in Health Services Assistance followed by a Certificate III in Individual Support, which opened the door to four years of hands-on experience as a community care worker, I have supported individuals to live safely, comfortably, and with dignity in their own homes.
Caring isn’t just my career, it’s a core part of who I am. I grew up alongside two brothers with Level 2 Autism Spectrum Disorder, and I am also a proud parent to three incredible children, one with ADHD and one with Level 2 ASD. These personal experiences have given me a deep, first-hand understanding of the challenges families face and have shaped the way I approach support with empathy, patience, and genuine respect for every individual’s journey.
I am currently studying my Diploma of Nursing, continuing to expand my knowledge and skills so I can provide informed, compassionate, and person-centred care. Above all, I am committed to building meaningful connections and delivering support that truly puts people first, empowering individuals and families to feel heard, supported, and valued every step of the way.
